I hate it when I see Tumblr feminists complain about models and famous women being too perfect or ‘setting men an unrealistic view of women.’ That “real women don’t look that way” argument is what annoys me most. Well, my dears, guess what? The men that we, women, drool over, they don’t look like ‘real men’ either. It is absolutely natural for men to find gorgeous women beautiful, just as it is natural for us to find gorgeous men beautiful. Please, stop being hypocrites. Men have feelings and insecurities too and trust me, they wanna look like those guys just as much as you wanna look like those girls.
regular men might want to look like ridiculously attractive men, but every aspect of society isn’t telling them they HAVE to look like that to be successful.
Just because it’s not said doesn’t mean its not there. Society deems a mans worth by the amount of money he makes, the car he drives, the woman on his arm, and the way his body looks. It’s in ads, television shows, everywhere. As a man if you want to make money, you better be fit, look good, and be a suave mother fucker because that’s what everyone wants, thats how you’re going tp be successful.
It is pushed on men by media just as much as it is women. The only difference is that men take it silence, and never talk about it because that is what they are expected to do in order to be a man: to put up and shut up.
